Painting Tin Tiles and Other Hard Surfaces: Wipe the oily residue off with rubbing alcohol...be careful of the sharp edges! Use a spray primer such as Rustoleum Sandable Primer...it comes in white and grey and has a beautiful matte finish....several light coats are better than one heavy coat. I also use this product to prime porous surfaces (wood, paper mache, etc.) To basecoat the surface in acrylic paint try stippling the paint on with a damp art sponge (not a sea sponge). You can find art sponges made by Loew-Cornell or Royal in the brush aisle..they are yellow and about 3' round.

Remove Dried Paint from Brushes/Clothing Rub hand sanitizer gel into the dried paint with your fingers....be patient and the dried paint will loosen enough to be washed away!
Restore a Bent Brush Tame a wild hair on a brush and restore the original shape to a brush by dousing it with boiling hot water....works like magic!
